1 Chronicles 1:33–35

⁶The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.

²⁸And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

⁸And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

^8*And he gaue him the couenant of Circumcision: ^*and so Abraham begate Isaac, and circumcised him the eight day: ^*and Isaac begate Iacob, ^*and Iacob begate the twelue Patriarchs.

²For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

³And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

³And Abraham called the name of his sonne, that was borne vnto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

³⁴Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor,

³⁴Which was the sonne of Iacob, which was the sonne of Isaac, which was the sonne of Abraham, which was the sonne of Thara, which was the sonne of Nachor,

²Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

^2*Abraham begate Isaac, and ^*Isaac begate Iacob, and ^*Iacob begate Iudas and his brethren.

²⁸The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

²⁴¶ And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

²⁵And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.

²⁶And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

²⁷And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

²⁸And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

²⁴¶ And when her dayes to be deliuered were fulfilled, behold, there were twinnes in her wombe.

²⁸And Isaac loued Esau, because ^†he did eate of his venison: but Rebekah loued Iacob.

²I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob,

³And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

⁴Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the Lord of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the Lord hath indignation for ever.

^2*I haue loued you, sayth the LORD: yet yee say, Wherein hast thou loued vs? was not Esau Iacobs brother, sayth the LORD? yet I loued Iacob,

³And I hated Esau, and layde his mountaines, and his heritage waste, for the dragons of the wildernesse.

⁴Whereas Edom sayth, Wee are impouerished, but we will returne and build the desolate places; Thus sayth the LORD of hostes, They shal build, but I will throw downe; and they shal call them, The border of wickednesse, & the people against whom the LORD hath indignation for euer.

¹⁰And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

¹¹(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

¹²It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

¹³As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

¹⁰And not onely this, but when Rebecca also had conceiued by one, euen by our father Isaac,

¹¹(For the children being not yet borne, neither hauing done any good or euil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of workes, but of him that calleth.)

¹²It was said vnto her, The ^*‖elder shall serue the ^‖yonger.

¹³As it is written, ^*Iacob haue I loued, but Esau haue I hated.

⁴And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;

⁵And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

⁴And ^*Adah bare to Esau, Eliphaz: and Bashemath bare Revelation

⁵And Aholibamah bare Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah: these are the sonnes of Esau, which were borne vnto him in the land of Canaan.

⁹¶ And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:

¹⁰These are the names of Esau’s sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.

⁹¶ And these are the generations of Esau, the father of ^†the Edomites in mount Seir.

¹⁰These are the names of Esaus sonnes: ^*Eliphaz the sonne of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the sonne of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.
