1 Corinthians 10:28–31

¹⁰For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

¹¹And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

¹²But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

¹³Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

⁷Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

⁷Howbeit there is not in euerie man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idole vnto this houre, eate it as a thing offred vnto an idole, and their conscience being weake, is defiled.

¹⁵But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

⁵I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

⁶And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

^5*I haue made the earth, the man and the beast that are vpon the ground, by my great power, and by my outstretched arme, and haue giuen it vnto whom it seemed meet vnto me.

^6*And now haue I giuen all these landes into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon my seruant, and the beasts of the field haue I giuen him also to serue him.

³¹Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

³²(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

¹⁶The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

¹⁶The heauen, euen the heauens are the LORDs: but the earth hath hee giuen to the children of men.

¹⁴Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

¹⁴Behold, the heauen, & the heauen of heauens is the LORDs thy God, ^*the earth also, with all that therein is.

²⁹And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the Lord; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the Lord’s.

²⁹And Moses saide vnto him, Assoone as I am gone out of the citie, I will spread abroad my hands vnto the LORD, and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more haile: that thou mayest know how that the ^*earth is the LORDs.

¹THE earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

¹¶ The earth is the LORDs, and the fulnesse thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

¹⁹For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

¹⁹For though I bee free from all men, yet haue I made my selfe seruant vnto all, that I might gaine the more.

¹⁵But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

¹⁶Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

¹⁷For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

¹⁸For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

¹⁹Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

²⁰For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

²¹It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

¹⁵But if thy brother be grieued with thy meate: now walkest thou not ^†charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

¹⁶Let not then your good be euill spoken of.

¹⁷For the kingdome of God is not meat and drinke; but righteousnes, and peace, and ioy in the holy Ghost.

¹⁸For hee that in these things serueth Christ, is acceptable to God, and approued of men.

¹⁹Let vs therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edifie an other.

²⁰For meat, destroy not the worke of God: all ^*things indeed are pure; but it is euill for that man who eateth with offence.

²¹ It is good neither to eate ^*flesh, nor to drinke wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weake.

⁹But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

⁹But take heed lest by any meanes, this ^‖libertie of yours become a stumbling blocke to them that are weake.

³²Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

³²Giue none offence, neither to the Iewes, nor to the ^†Gentiles, nor to the Church of God:

²¹Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

²¹Prouiding for honest things, not onely in the sight of the Lord, but in the sight of men.

²²Abstain from all appearance of evil.

²²Abstaine from all appearance of euill.

⁶He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

⁶He that regardeth a day, regardeth it vnto the Lord; and hee that ^‖regardeth not the day, to the Lord hee doeth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for hee giueth God thankes: and hee that eateth not, to the Lord hee eateth not, and giueth God thankes.

³Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

⁴For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

¹⁷And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

¹⁷And whatsoeuer yee doe in word or deed, doe all in the Name of the Lord Iesus, giuing thankes to God and the Father, by him.

²³And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

²³And whatsoeuer yee doe, doe it heartily, as to the Lord, and not vnto men:

¹¹If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

⁷And there ye shall eat before the Lord your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.

⁷And there ye shall eate before the LORD your God, and yee shall reioyce in all that you put your hand vnto, ye and your housholds, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

¹⁸But thou must eat them before the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.

⁵Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?

⁶And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?

⁵Speake vnto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye ^*fasted and mourned in the fift and seuenth moneth, euen those seuenty yeeres; did ye at all fast vnto me, euen to me?

⁶And when ye did eat, and when ye did drinke, ^‖did not ye eat for your selues, and drinke for your selues?

¹²And ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.

¹²And yee shall reioyce before the LORD your God, ye and your sonnes and your daughters, and your men seruants, and your maid seruants, and the Leuite that is within your gates, forasmuch as ^*hee hath no part nor inheritance with you.

⁴¹But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

⁴¹But rather giue almes of such things ^‖as you haue: and behold, all things are cleane vnto you.

¹⁶¶ So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.

¹⁷And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

¹⁸Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

¹⁶¶ So the people went foorth, and brought them, and made themselues boothes, euery one vpon the roofe of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the streete of the water-gate, and in the streete of the gate of Ephraim.

¹⁷And all the congregation of them that were come againe out of the captiuitie, made boothes, and sate vnder the boothes: for since the dayes of Ieshua the sonne of Nun, vnto that day, had not the children of Israel done so: and there was very great gladnesse.

¹⁸Also day by day from the first day vnto the last day, he read in the booke of the Law of God: and they kept the feast seuen dayes, and on the eight day was ^†a solemne assembly according vnto the maner.

³⁴There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
