Acts 2:25–26

⁸I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

¹⁰For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

¹¹Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

^8*I haue set the LORD alwaies before me: because hee is at my right hand, I shall not be moued.

^9†Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory reioyceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

^10*For thou wilt not leaue my soule in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to see corruption.

¹³For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

¹³For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying vnto thee, Feare not, I will helpe thee.

³¹For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

^31†For he shal stand at the right hand of the poore: to saue him from those that condemne his soule.

⁶He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

⁶He onely is my rocke and my saluation; he is my defence; I shall not bee moued.

⁷¶ For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

⁸He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.

⁹Behold, the Lord God will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

⁷¶ For the LORD God will helpe me, therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore haue I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not bee ashamed.

^8*† He is neere that iustifieth me, who will contend with me? let vs stand together: who is mine aduersarie? let him come neere to me.

⁹Behold, the LORD God wil helpe me, who is he that shall condemne mee? Loe, they all shall waxe olde as a garment: the moth shall eate them vp.

³²And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,

³³God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

³⁴And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

³⁵Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

³⁶For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

³²And we declare vnto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made vnto the fathers,

³³God hath fulfilled the same vnto vs their children, in that he hath raised vp Iesus againe, as it is also written in the ^*second Psalme: Thou art my Sonne, this day haue I begotten thee.

³⁴And as concerning that he raised him vp from the dead, now no more to returne to corruption, he said on this wise, ^*I will giue you the sure ^†mercies of Dauid.

³⁵Wherfore he saith also in another Psalme, ^*Thou shalt not suffer thine holy one to see corruption.

³⁶For Dauid after he had serued his ^‖owne generation by the will of God, ^*fell on sleepe, and was laide vnto his fathers, and saw corruption:

⁶And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

⁶And in my prosperitie I said, I shall neuer be mooued.

⁷For the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

⁷For the King trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High, he shall not be moued.

²⁹Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

³⁰Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

²⁹Men and brethren, ^‖let me freely speake vnto you ^*of the Patriarch Dauid, that he is both dead & buried, and his sepulchre is with vs vnto this day:

³⁰Therefore being a Prophet, ^*and knowing that God had sworne with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loines, according to the flesh, hee would raise vp Christ, to sit on his throne:

³²Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

^32*Behold, the houre commeth, yea is now come, that ye shall be scattered, euery man to his ^‖owne, and shall leaue me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

⁵My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

²³My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

²³My lippes shall greatly reioyce when I sing vnto thee: and my soule, which thou hast redeemed.

¹¹Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

¹¹Thou hast turned for mee my mourning into dauncing: thou hast put off my sackecloth, and girded mee with gladnesse:

²²I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

²³Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

²⁴For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

^22*I will declare thy name vnto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

²³Yee that feare the LORD, praise him; all yee the seede of Iacob glorifie him, and feare him all yee the seede of Israel.

²⁴For he hath not despised, nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him, but when he cried vnto him, he heard.
