1IN the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
1¶ In the second yeere of Darius the king, in the sixt moneth, in the first day of the moneth came the worde of the LORD †by Haggai the Prophet vnto Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, ‖gouernour of Iudah, and to Iosuah the sonne of Iosedech the high priest, saying;

2Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.

10For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
