Job 13:20–21

⁸And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

⁹And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

¹⁰And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

³⁴Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:

³⁵Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.

¹²Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

¹⁵And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

¹⁶And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

⁷Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

³⁴Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:

¹⁰Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

²⁰Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,

¹¹Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?

¹⁵Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?

¹⁶Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:

¹⁷Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?

¹²⁰My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.
