Luke 21:36–37

²⁸And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

¹³Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

⁸Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

⁴²¶ Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

⁷But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

¹³Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

³³Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

¹AND he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

²But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:

⁴¹Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

¹³Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

¹⁴Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

³⁷Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

³⁸And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

³⁹And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

⁴⁰Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

²⁴Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

³⁷And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

¹⁷Pray without ceasing.

²Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

⁵Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

⁶Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

⁵But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

⁵Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

²A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

¹⁸Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

¹⁹And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

¹⁰Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

³⁵But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

³⁹¶ And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

¹⁹And when even was come, he went out of the city.

¹AND when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,

¹⁷¶ And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

⁵⁵In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

¹²Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

¹THEN Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

³⁷And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

¹²¶ And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

³⁰And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

⁴¶ And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
