Mark 3:20–23

³¹And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

³¹¶ In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

³²But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

³³Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

³⁴Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

¹⁷¶ And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judæa and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

⁷But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judæa,

⁹And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

¹⁷And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.

²⁸And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

²⁴And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

²⁰And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

³His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judæa, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.

⁴For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.

⁵For neither did his brethren believe in him.

⁶Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.

⁷The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

⁸Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.

⁹When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.

¹⁰¶ But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

³¹¶ There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

¹³For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.

¹¹¶ Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

⁷The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

²⁶The Lord hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the Lord, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

²⁵It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

¹THEN came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,

²⁴But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

³⁴But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

²⁰The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?

⁴⁸Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

⁵²Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

¹⁵But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

¹THEN came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.

¹⁸For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.

²²¶ And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

¹⁷And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judæa, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

⁶But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

¹⁷But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

¹⁸If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

¹⁹And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.

²⁰But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

²¹When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

²²But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

²³He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

²⁵And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

²⁶And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

²⁷And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

²⁸But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

²⁹Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

³⁰He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

³⁴All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

²And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,

¹⁰Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

⁴I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
