Psalms 119:101–104

¹⁰For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

¹¹Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

¹⁰For hee that will loue life, and see good dayes, let him refraine his tongue from euil, and his ^*lips that they speake no guile:

¹⁵My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

⁷Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

¹⁰⁴Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

¹WHEREFORE laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

²As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

⁵⁹I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

⁶⁰I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

¹¹For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

¹²Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

²³I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.

³⁶Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.

¹²⁶It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law.

²⁷But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

²⁷But the anointing which ye haue receiued of him, abideth in you: and yee need not that any man teach you: But, as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is trueth, and is no lye: and euen as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in ^‖him.

¹³For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

⁷Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

²¹For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

⁴⁰And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

^40†And I will make an euerlasting couenant with them, that I will not turne away from them, to doe them good, but I will put my feare in their hearts, that they shall not depart from mee.

¹⁹They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

²⁰But ye have not so learned Christ;

²¹If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

²²That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

²³And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

²⁴And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

²⁰But ye haue not so learned Christ:

²¹If so be that ye haue heard him, and haue bene taught by him, as the trueth is in Iesus,

²²That yee put off concerning the former conuersation, the olde man, which is corrupt according to the deceitfull lusts:

²³And bee renewed in the spirit of your minde:

²⁴And that yee put on that new man, which after God is created in righteousnesse, and ^‖true holinesse.

¹¹For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

^11*For wisedome is better then rubies: and all the things that may be desired, are not to be compared to it.

¹⁰More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

^10*†More to bee desired are they then gold, yea, then much fine gold: sweeter also then hony, and the hony combe.

¹³My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

¹⁴So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

^14*So shall the knowledge of wisedome be vnto thy soule: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

⁵My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

¹²Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

¹⁷Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

¹⁷Her wayes are wayes of plesantnesse: and all her pathes are peace.

¹I AM come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.

¹¶ ^‖I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse, I haue gathered my Myrrhe with my spice, I haue eaten my honie combe with my hony, I haue drunke my wine with my milke: eate, O friends, drinke, yea drinke abundantly, O beloued!

²Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.

³Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.

⁴Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee.

²Let him kisse mee with the kisses of his mouth: ^*for ^†thy Loue is better then wine.

³Because of the sauour of thy good ointments, thy name is as ointment powred forth, therefore doe the virgins loue thee.

^4*Draw me, we will runne after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and reioyce in thee, we wil remember thy loue more then wine: ^‖the vpright loue thee.

¹²⁸Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

¹³The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

¹²There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

⁹⁸Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

¹⁰Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

^10*Yee that loue the LORD, hate euil; hee preserueth the soules of his Saints: hee deliuereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

³I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

¹⁰⁰I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

⁹Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

⁹ Let loue bee without dissimulation: abhorre that which is euill, cleaue to that which is good.

¹⁵Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

¹³¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

⁴He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
