Psalms 119:123–125

⁶My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

^6‖My soule waiteth for the LORD, more then they that watch for the morning: I say, more then they that watch for the morning.

¹⁷As for us, our eyes as yet failed for our vain help: in our watching we have watched for a nation that could not save us.

¹⁷As for vs, our eyes as yet failed for our vaine helpe: in our watching we haue watched for a nation that could not saue vs.

⁸¹My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.

⁸²Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

⁷Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

³I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

⁷⁶Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

¹HAVE mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

¹³But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

¹⁶The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:

¹⁸The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

¹⁰Teach me to doe thy will, for thou art my God, thy spirit is good: leade me into the land of vprightnesse.

⁸O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.

³If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

⁴But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

¹³Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

¹⁴But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

¹⁵This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

¹⁶For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

¹⁷But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

¹³Who is a wise man and indued with knowledge amongst you? let him shew out of a good conuersation his workes with meekenes of wisedome.

¹⁴But if ye haue bitter enuying and strife in your hearts glory not, and lie not against the trueth.

¹⁵This wisedome descendeth not from aboue, but is earthly, ^‖sensuall, deuilish.

¹⁶For where enuying and strife is, there is ^†confusion, and euery euill worke.

¹⁷But the wisedome that is from aboue, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easie to be intreated, full of mercy, and good fruits, ^‖without partialitie, and without hypocrisie.

⁵Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

⁶Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

⁵Not that wee are sufficient of our selues to thinke any thing as of our selues: but our sufficiencie is of God:

⁶Who also hath made vs able ministers of the New Testament, not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit ^‖giueth life.

⁵If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

⁸The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

¹⁶O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

³⁴Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

¹⁰The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

¹¹Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

¹¹Thy word haue I hidde in mine heart: that I might not sinne against thee.

¹⁸Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

¹⁹I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

²²But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

⁷¶ In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

⁸And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

⁹Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

¹⁰Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

⁷¶ In that night did God appeare vnto Solomon, and saide vnto him; Aske what I shall giue thee.

⁸And Solomon saide vnto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy vnto Dauid my father, and hast made ^*me to reigne in his stead:

⁹Now, O LORD God, let thy promise vnto Dauid my father be established: ^*for thou hast made mee King ouer a people, ^†like the dust of the earth in multitude.

¹⁰Giue ^*mee now wisedome and knowledge, that I may goe out and come in before this people. For who can iudge this thy people, that is so great?

⁷Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

⁹⁴I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

¹⁶O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
