Psalms 119:124–126

¹²Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

¹⁸O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

¹⁰He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

⁷⁶Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

¹HAVE mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

¹³But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

¹⁶Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

¹⁶The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:

¹⁸The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

¹⁶The Lord giue mercie vnto the house of Onesiphorus, for hee oft refreshed mee, and was not ashamed of my chaine.

¹²And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

⁸O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.

³If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

⁴But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

¹³Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

¹⁴But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

¹⁵This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

¹⁶For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

¹⁷But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

¹³Who is a wise man and indued with knowledge amongst you? let him shew out of a good conuersation his workes with meekenes of wisedome.

¹⁴But if ye haue bitter enuying and strife in your hearts glory not, and lie not against the trueth.

¹⁵This wisedome descendeth not from aboue, but is earthly, ^‖sensuall, deuilish.

¹⁶For where enuying and strife is, there is ^†confusion, and euery euill worke.

¹⁷But the wisedome that is from aboue, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easie to be intreated, full of mercy, and good fruits, ^‖without partialitie, and without hypocrisie.

⁵Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

⁶Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

⁵Not that wee are sufficient of our selues to thinke any thing as of our selues: but our sufficiencie is of God:

⁶Who also hath made vs able ministers of the New Testament, not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit ^‖giueth life.

⁵If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

⁵If any of you lacke wisedome, let him aske of God, that giueth to all men liberally, and vpbraideth not: and it shalbe giuen him.

⁸The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

¹⁶O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

¹⁶Oh LORD, truely I am thy seruant, I am thy seruant, and the sonne of thy handmayde: thou hast loosed my bonds.

³⁴Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

¹⁰The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

¹¹Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

¹¹Thy word haue I hidde in mine heart: that I might not sinne against thee.

¹⁸Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

¹⁹I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

²²But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

⁷¶ In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

⁸And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

⁹Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

¹⁰Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

⁷¶ In that night did God appeare vnto Solomon, and saide vnto him; Aske what I shall giue thee.

⁸And Solomon saide vnto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy vnto Dauid my father, and hast made ^*me to reigne in his stead:

⁹Now, O LORD God, let thy promise vnto Dauid my father be established: ^*for thou hast made mee King ouer a people, ^†like the dust of the earth in multitude.

¹⁰Giue ^*mee now wisedome and knowledge, that I may goe out and come in before this people. For who can iudge this thy people, that is so great?

⁷Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

⁹⁴I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

¹⁶O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

⁸How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.

^8‖How doe ye say, We are wise, and the Law of the LORD is with vs? Loe, certainly, in vaine made he it, the pen of the scribes is in vaine.

⁴Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

⁴Therefore the Lawe is slacked, and iudgement doeth neuer goe foorth: for the ^*wicked doeth compasse about the righteous: therfore ^‖wrong iudgement proceedeth.

⁸But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.

¹⁹Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

¹⁹Arise, O LORD, let not man preuaile: let the heathen bee iudged in thy sight.

⁶And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

³¹Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

³¹Doe we then make void the lawe through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the Law.

¹⁴For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

¹⁴For if they which are of the law be heires, faith is made voide, and the promise made of none effect.

¹⁴I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

^14†I haue long time holden my peace, I haue bene still and refrained my selfe: now wil I cry like a trauailing woman, I will destroy and deuoure at once.

¹³Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

³⁶For the Lord shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

¹⁴And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

¹⁰And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

¹¹And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
