Psalms 119:126–128

⁸How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.

^8‖How doe ye say, We are wise, and the Law of the LORD is with vs? Loe, certainly, in vaine made he it, the pen of the scribes is in vaine.

⁴Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

⁴Therefore the Lawe is slacked, and iudgement doeth neuer goe foorth: for the ^*wicked doeth compasse about the righteous: therfore ^‖wrong iudgement proceedeth.

⁸But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.

¹⁹Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

⁶And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

³¹Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

³¹Doe we then make void the lawe through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the Law.

¹⁴For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

¹⁴For if they which are of the law be heires, faith is made voide, and the promise made of none effect.

¹⁴I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

^14†I haue long time holden my peace, I haue bene still and refrained my selfe: now wil I cry like a trauailing woman, I will destroy and deuoure at once.

¹³Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

³⁶For the Lord shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

¹⁴And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

¹⁰And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

¹¹And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

¹⁰More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

⁴⁵¶ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

⁴⁶Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

⁴⁵¶ Againe, the kingdome of heauen is like vnto a marchant man, seeking goodly pearles:

⁴⁶Who when hee had found one pearle of great price, he went and solde all that he had, and bought it.

¹⁶How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

^16*How much better is it to get wisedome, then gold? and to get vnderstanding, rather to be chosen then siluer?

¹³¶ Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

¹⁴For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

¹⁵She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

¹⁶Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

¹⁷Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

¹⁸She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

¹³¶ ^†Happy is the man that findeth wisedome, and the man that getteth vnderstanding.

^14*For the merchandise of it is better then the merchandise of siluer, and the gaine thereof, then fine gold.

¹⁶Length of dayes is in her right hand: and in her left hand, riches and honour.

¹⁷Her wayes are wayes of plesantnesse: and all her pathes are peace.

⁷²The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

⁸Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

¹⁰⁴Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

²²For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

⁷The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

⁸The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

⁵Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

⁶Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

⁶Then shall I not bee ashamed: when I haue respect vnto all thy commandements.

⁸And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

⁸And what nation is there so great, that hath Statutes and Iudgements so righteous, as all this Law which I set before you this day?

²⁷He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;

^27‖He looketh vpon men, and if any say, I haue sinned, and peruerted that which was right, and it profited mee not:

¹⁶If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

¹⁶If then I doe that which I would not, I consent vnto the Law, that it is good.

¹¹⁸Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.

¹²Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

¹⁴For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
