Psalms 119:153–154

¹REMEMBER, O Lord, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.

¹¶ Remember, O LORD, what is come vpon vs: consider and beholde our reproch.

¹⁷⁶I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

¹³Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

¹MY son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

¹¶ My sonne, forget not my lawe; ^*but let thine heart keepe my commaundements:

¹⁴¹I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

¹⁵⁹Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to thy lovingkindness.

¹⁶I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

¹⁹Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

⁷¶ And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

⁸And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

⁷¶ And the LORD said, I haue surely seene the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and haue heard their crie, by reason of their taske-masters: for I know their sorrowes,

⁸And I am come downe to deliuer them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them vp out of that land, vnto a good land and a large, vnto a lande flowing with milke and hony, vnto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hiuites, and the Iebusites.

²⁰¶ Behold, O Lord, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?

³²Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

³²Now therefore, our God, the great, the ^*mightie, and the terrible God, who keepest couenant and mercie: let not all the ^†trouble seeme little before thee, ^†that hath come vpon vs, on our Kings, on our Princes, & on our Priests, and on our Prophets, & on our fathers, & on al thy people, since the time of the Kings of Assyria, vnto this day.

¹⁰⁹My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

⁹⁸Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

³Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

⁴Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

³Consider and heare me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleepe of death.

⁴Least mine enimie say, I haue preuailed against him: and those that trouble mee, reioyce, when I am moued.

¹PLEAD my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

¹¶ Plead my cause (O LORD) with them that striue with mee: fight against them that fight against me.

¹⁵The Lord therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand.

¹⁵The LORD therfore be Iudge, and iudge betweene me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and ^†deliuer me out of thine hand.

³⁴Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

⁹I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

⁹I will beare the indignation of the LORD, because I haue sinned against him, vntill he plead my cause, and execute iudgement for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousnesse.

²⁰But, O Lord of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

^20*But, O LORD of hostes, that iudgest righteously, that tryest the reines, and the heart; let me see thy vengeance on them, for vnto thee haue I reuealed my cause.

²⁵My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

²⁵¶ My soule cleaueth vnto the dust: quicken thou mee according to thy word.

⁴⁰Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

⁴⁰Behold, I haue longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousnesse.

¹MY little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

¹¶ My little children, these things write I vnto you, that ye sinne not. And if any man sinne, we haue an Aduocate with the Father, Iesus Christ the righteous:

³⁶Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.

³⁶Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I wil plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee, and I will drie vp her sea, and make her springs drie.

⁸I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:

²³For the Lord will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.

¹JUDGE me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
