Psalms 119:29–30

⁴He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

⁴He that saith, I knowe him, and keepeth not his commandements, is a lyer, and the trueth is not in him.

⁸If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

⁸If we say that we haue no sinne, we deceiue our selues, and the trueth is not in vs.

⁸Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:

^8*†Remoue farre from mee vanity, and lyes; giue me neither pouerty, nor riches, feede me with food conuenient for me.

¹⁰For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

¹¹And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

¹⁰For this is the Couenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those dayes, saith the Lord: ^*I wil ^†put my Lawes into their minde, and write them ^‖in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shalbe to me a people.

¹¹And they shall not teach euery man his neighbour, and euery man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: For all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

³⁷Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

²²That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

²³And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

²⁴And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

²⁵Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

¹⁹O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

⁸They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

¹⁶³I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

⁵O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

³Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

⁴Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

²⁰He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

¹⁰⁴Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

^33*But this shall be the couenant, that I will make with the house of Israel, After those dayes, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and wil be their God, and they shall be my people.

^34**And they shall teach no more euery man his neighbour, and euery man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know mee, from the least of them vnto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgiue their iniquitie, and I will remember their sinne no more.

¹⁹And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

²⁰For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

²¹But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

¹⁹And this is the condemnation, ^*that light is come into the world, and men loued darknesse rather then light, because their deedes were euill.

²⁰For euery one that doeth euill, hateth the light, neither commeth to the light, lest his deeds should be ^‖reproued.

²¹But hee that doeth trueth, commeth to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

²⁹For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:

²⁹Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

⁴²But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

²As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

¹⁵And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

⁴I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

¹⁸¶ Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.

¹⁹And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

²⁰And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:

¹⁸¶ Therefore shall ye lay vp these my words in your heart, and in your soule, and ^*bind them for a signe vpon your hand, that they may bee as frontlets betweene your eyes.

¹⁹And ^*ye shal teach them your children, speaking of them, when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp.

²⁰And thou shalt write them vpon the doore posts of thine house, and vpon thy gates:

¹¹¹Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

¹¹¹Thy Testimonies haue I taken as an heritage for euer: for they are the reioycing of my heart.

²⁴Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellers.

⁴⁵And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

¹⁷³Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

⁵²I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and have comforted myself.
