Psalms 124:1–2

³¹What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

⁹When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

⁴Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

¹IN my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me.

⁵Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

⁶So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

⁶The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

⁷The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

¹⁷Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

⁹¶ Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.

¹⁰Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

¹THEY that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

¹I WILL lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

¹THE Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

⁷The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

¹EXCEPT the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

¹BLESSED is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

¹OUT of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.

¹MANY a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

¹THEN sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

¹WHEN the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

¹BEHOLD, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

¹UNTO thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

¹LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

¹BEHOLD, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

¹¹The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

¹I WAS glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

¹LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

¹²Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹³They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁶For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

³²The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

¹THE king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

²Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

¹LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

²And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

³And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the Lord?
