Psalms 130:1–2

⁷Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

^7‖Who in the dayes of his flesh, when hee had offered vp prayers and supplications, with strong crying and teares, vnto him that was able to saue him from death, and was heard, in that he feared.

⁷Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

⁷Deepe calleth vnto deepe at the noyse of thy water-spouts: all thy waues, and thy billowes are gone ouer me.

²And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.

³For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.

⁴Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

²And said, I ^*cried ^‖by reason of mine affliction vnto the LORD, and hee heard mee; out of the belly of ^‖hell cried I, and thou heardest my voyce.

^3†For thou hadst cast mee into the deepe, in the middest of the Seas, and the floods compassed me about: all thy billowes & thy waues passed ouer me.

⁴Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will looke againe toward thy holy Temple.

¹⁴Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

¹⁵Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

¹⁴Deliuer me out of the mire, and let me not sinke: let me bee deliuered from them that hate me, and out of the deepe waters.

¹⁵Let not the water flood ouerflow me, neither let the deepe swallow mee vp, and let not the pit shut her mouth vpon me.

⁵³They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.

⁵⁴Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.

⁵⁵¶ I called upon thy name, O Lord, out of the low dungeon.

³The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

⁴Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

⁴Then called I vpon the Name of the LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee deliuer my soule.

¹⁶Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

¹⁷The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

¹⁸Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

¹SAVE me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.

²I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

¹¶ Saue mee, O God, for the waters are come in vnto my soule.

²⁰Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

¹⁶He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

^16‖He sent from aboue, he tooke me, he drew me out of many waters.

²He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

¹I WILL lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

¹¶ I will lift vp mine eyes vnto the hilles: from whence commeth my helpe.

¹I WAS glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

¹¶ I was glad when they sayd vnto me: Let vs goe into the house of the LORD.

¹UNTO thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

¹¶ Vnto thee lift I vp mine eyes: O thou that dwellest in the heauens.

¹IF it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say;

¹¶ If it had not bene the LORD who was on our side: nowe may Israel say:

¹THEY that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

¹¶ They that trust in the LORD, shalbe as mount Zion, which cannot be remooued, but abideth for euer.

¹EXCEPT the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

¹BLESSED is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

¹¶ Blessed is euery one that feareth the LORD: that walketh in his wayes.

¹MANY a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

¹¶ Many a time haue they afflicted me from my youth: may Israel now say.

⁴The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

⁵The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

⁶In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

⁶Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.

⁷Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.

¹WHEN the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

¹¶ When the LORD turned againe the captiuitie of Zion: wee were like them that dreame.

⁴⁰Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

¹⁷Incline thine ear, O Lord, and hear; open thine eyes, O Lord, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.

¹¹O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

¹¹O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine eare be attentiue to the prayer of thy seruant, and to the prayer of thy seruants, who desire to feare thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy seruant this day, and grant him mercie in the sight of this man. For I was the kings cup-bearer.

¹HEAR my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

²From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

¹¶ Heare my cry, O God, attend vnto my prayer.

²From the end of the earth wil I cry vnto thee, when my heart is ouerwhelmed: leade me to the rocke, that is higher then I.

¹⁷Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

¹⁸O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

¹⁹O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

¹⁷Now therefore, O our God, heare the prayer of thy seruant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine vpon thy Sanctuary that is desolate, for the LORDs sake.

^18††O my God, encline thine eare and heare: open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, & the city, which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

¹⁹O LORD heare, O LORD forgiue, O LORD hearken and doe: deferre not for thine owne sake, O my God: for thy citie, & thy people are called by thy Name.

⁶Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned.

⁶Let thine eare now be attentiue, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest heare the prayer of thy seruant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy seruants, and confesse the sinnes of the children of Israel, which wee haue sinned against thee: both I, and my fathers house haue sinned.

⁶I said unto the Lord, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O Lord.

⁶I said vnto the LORD, Thou art my God: heare the voyce of my supplications, O LORD.

¹GIVE ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

²Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;

¹¶ Giue eare to my prayer, O God: and hide not thy selfe from my supplication.

²Attend vnto me, and heare me: I mourne in my complaint, and make a noise.

¹HEAR the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.

¹¶ Heare the right, O LORD, attend vnto my crie, giue eare vnto my prayer, that goeth not out of fained lips.

²Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

^2‖Heare the voyce of my supplications, when I cry vnto thee: when I lift vp my handes toward thy holy Oracle.

¹GIVE ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.

²Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

¹¶ Giue eare to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

²Hearken vnto the voice of my crie, my King, and my God: for vnto thee will I pray.

¹HEAR my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

¹¶ Heare my voice, O God, in my praier; preserue my life from feare of the enemie.
