Psalms 37:3–5

⁷Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.

⁸For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

^7*Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

^8*‖For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her rootes by the riuer, and shall not see when heate commeth, but her leafe shall be greene, and shall not be carefull in the yeere of drought, neither shall cease from yeelding fruit.

³¹Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

³²(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

³³But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

³¹Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eate? or, what shall we drinke? or wherewithall shall wee be clothed?

³²(For after all these things doe the Gentiles seeke:) for your heauenly father knoweth that ye haue neede of all these things.

³³But seeke ye first the kingdome of God, and his righteousnesse, and all these things shalbe added vnto you.

⁸Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

⁵⁷But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵⁸Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

⁵⁷But thankes bee to God, which giueth vs the victorie, through our Lord Iesus Christ.

⁵⁸Therefore my beloued brethren, be yee stedfast, vnmoueable, alwayes abounding in the worke of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labour is not in vaine in the Lord.

⁹O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

¹⁰The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

⁹O feare the LORD yee his Saints: for there is no want to them that feare him.

¹⁰The young lyons doe lacke, and suffer hunger: but they that seeke the LORD, shall not want any good thing.

³⁵And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

^35*And he said vnto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shooes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

⁵Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.

¹⁰For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

¹¹And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

¹²That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

¹⁰For God is not vnrighteous, to forget your worke and labour of loue, which yee haue shewed toward his Name, in that yee haue ministred to the Saints, and doe minister.

¹¹And wee desire, that euery one of you doe shewe the same diligence, to the full assurance of hope vnto the ende:

¹²That yee be not slothfull, but followers of them, who through faith and patience inherite the promises.

²⁰That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

²⁰That thou maiest loue the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voyce, and that thou mayest cleaue vnto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy dayes, that thou mayest dwell in the land, which the LORD sware vnto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Iacob, to giue them.

¹⁶¶ Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

¹⁷Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

¹⁸Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

¹⁹If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

¹⁶¶ Wash yee, make you cleane, put away the euill of your doings from before mine eyes, ^*cease to doe euill,

¹⁷Learne to doe well, seeke iudgement, ^‖relieue the oppressed, iudge the fatherlesse, plead for the widow.

¹⁸Come now and let vs reason together, saith the LORD: though your sinnes be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimsin, they shall be as wooll.

¹⁹If yee be willing and obedient, yee shall eate the good of the land.

¹JUDGE me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.

¹¶ Iudge me, O LORD, for I haue walked in mine integritie: I haue trusted also in the LORD: therfore I shall not slide.

¹⁹To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

¹⁰¶ Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.

¹⁰¶ Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voyce of his seruant, that walketh in darkenesse and hath no light? let him trust in the Name of the LORD, and stay vpon his God.

²And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:

¹⁹Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the Lord have stirred thee up against me, let him accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before the Lord; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the Lord, saying, Go, serve other gods.

¹⁹Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lord the king heare the words of his seruant: If the LORD haue stirred thee vp against mee, let him ^†accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before the LORD: for they haue driuen me out this day from ^†abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, Goe serue other gods.

¹³These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

¹⁴For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

¹⁵And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

¹⁶But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

¹³These all died ^†in faith, not hauing receiued the promises, but hauing seene them a farre off, and were perswaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

¹⁴For they that say such things, declare plainly that they seeke a countrey.

¹⁵And truly if they had been mindfull of that countrey, from whence they came out, they might haue had opportunitie to haue returned:

¹⁶But now they desire a better countrey, that is, an heauenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to bee called their God: for he hath prepared for thē a city.

¹¹He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

^11*‖He shall feede his flocke like a shepheard: he shall gather the lambes with his arme; and carie them in his bosome, and shall gently lead those that are with yoong.

⁷If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

⁷If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall aske what ye will, and it shall be done vnto you.

¹⁹He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

¹⁹Hee will fulfill the desire of them that feare him: he also will heare their cry, and will saue them.

¹⁶Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

¹⁶Ye haue not chosen me, but I haue chosen you, and ^*ordeined you, that you should goe and bring foorth fruit, and that your fruite should remaine: that whatsoeuer ye shall aske of the Father in my Name, he may giue it you.

¹⁴Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

^14*Then shalt thou delight thy selfe in the LORD, and I will cause thee to ride vpon the high places of the earth, and feede thee with the heritage of Iacob thy father; for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

¹⁴And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

¹⁵And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

¹⁴And this is the confidence that we haue ^‖in him, that if wee aske any thing according to his will, hee heareth vs.

¹⁵And if we know that he heare vs, whatsoeuer wee aske, wee know that we haue the petitions that wee desired of him.

¹THE king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

²Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

¹¶ The King shall ioy in thy strength, O LORD: and in thy saluation how greatly shall he reioyce?

²Thou hast giuen him his hearts desire; and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

²⁶For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

²⁶For then shalt thou haue thy delight in the Almightie, and shalt lift vp thy face vnto God.

⁸Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

⁸Whom hauing not seene, yee loue, in whom though now ye see him not, yet beleeuing, ye reioyce with ioy vnspeakeable, and full of glory,

³⁴My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

³⁴My meditation of him shalbe sweete: I will be glad in the LORD.

¹⁰Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

¹⁰Will he delight himselfe in the Almightie? will hee alwayes call vpon God?

⁴Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

^4†Then will I goe vnto the Altar of God, vnto God my exceeding ioy: yea vpon the harpe will I praise thee, O God, my God.

³As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

⁹For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

⁹For hee hath said, It profiteth a man nothing, that he should delight himselfe with God.

³Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

^3*†Commit thy workes vnto the LORD, and thy thoughts shalbe established.

⁷Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

⁷Casting all your care vpon him, for he careth for you.

⁶Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

⁷And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

⁶Bee carefull for nothing: but in euery thing by prayer and supplication with thankesgiuing, let your request be made knowen vnto God.

⁷And the peace of God which passeth all vnderstanding, shall keepe your hearts & minds through Christ Iesus.

²⁵Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

²²Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

^22*‖Cast thy burden vpon the LORD, and he shall sustaine thee: hee shall neuer suffer the righteous to bee moued.

¹⁵For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

¹⁵For that yee ought to say, if the Lord will, we shall liue, and doe this, or that.

²⁸Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

²⁸Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shal be established vnto thee: and the light shall shine vpon thy wayes.

²⁹And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

³⁰For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

⁸He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

³⁷¶ Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?

²²¶ And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

¹FOR all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.
