Psalms 69:17–18

⁹Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

²Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.

⁴⁶And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

⁹Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

¹MAKE haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.

¹HOW long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

²⁴Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?

¹⁴Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

³⁸Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

⁷Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

²⁴For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

¹³Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me: O Lord, make haste to help me.

²¹And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.

⁹He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

¹MY God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

¹⁹But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

¹⁵But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

²⁷Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the Lord hath not done all this.

⁸O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

²³Or, Deliver me from the enemy’s hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?

⁹For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

¹WHY standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

⁵Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.
