¶ And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.
¶ And Dauid said to Saul, Let no mans heart faile, because of him: thy seruant will goe and fight with this Philistine.
Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
Then Ionathan and Dauid made a couenant, because he loued him as his owne soule.
¶ And Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him, and was departed from Saul.

And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.
And Ionathan caused Dauid to sweare againe, because he loued him: for he loued him as he loued his owne soule.
