Levi

The sonne of Izhar, the sonne of Kohath, the sonne of Leui, the sonne of Israel.

The sonne of Iahath, the sonne of Gershom, the sonne of Leui.

The sonne of Mahli, the sonne of Mushi, the sonne of Merari, the sonne of Leui.

(Who hitherto waited in the kings gate Eastward) they were Porters in the companies of the children of Leui.

But Leui and Beniamin counted hee not among them: for the kings word was abominable to Ioab.

And Dauid diuided them into courses among the sonnes of Leui, namely Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
