Galatians 4:21–22

¹⁰For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

¹⁹Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

²³But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

²⁴Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

²⁴Wherefore the Law was our Schoolemaster to bring vs vnto Christ, that we might be iustified by Faith.

⁹But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

⁹But now after that yee haue knowen God, or rather are knowen of God, how turne ye ^‖againe to the weak and beggerly ^‖Elements, whereunto ye desire againe to be in bondage?

²⁹Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

³⁰For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

³¹But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

³²I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

²⁹Iesus answered, and said vnto them, Yee doe erre, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

^32*I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the liuing.

²⁵But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

⁴⁶For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

⁴⁷But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

⁴⁶For had ye beleeued Moses, ye would haue beleeued me: ^*for he wrote of me.

⁴⁷But if ye beleeue not his writings, how shall ye beleeue my words?

³For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

⁴For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

⁵For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

⁶But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

⁷Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

⁸But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

⁹That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

¹⁰For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

³For they being ignorant of Gods righteousnesse, and going about to establish their owne righteousnesse, haue not submitted themselues vnto the righteousnesse of God.

⁴For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousnes to euery one that beleeueth.

⁵For Moses describeth the righteousnesse which is of the Law, that ^*the man which doeth those things shall liue by them.

⁶But the righteousnesse which is of faith, speaketh on this wise: ^*Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heauen? That is to bring Christ down from aboue.

⁷Or, Who shall descend into the deepe? That is to bring vp Christ againe from the dead.

⁸But what saith it? ^*The word is nigh thee, euen in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that is the word of faith which we preach,

⁹That if thou shalt confesse with thy mouth the Lord Iesus, and shalt beleeue in thine heart, that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saued.

¹⁴For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

¹⁴For sinne shall not haue dominion ouer you, for yee are not vnder the Law, but vnder Grace.

⁵For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

⁶But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

⁶But now wee are deliuered from the law, ^‖that being dead wherein we were held, that we should serue in newnesse of spirit, and not in the oldnesse of the letter.

³⁴Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

³⁴Iesus answered them, ^*Is it not written in your law, I said, ye are gods?

³⁴The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

³⁴The people answered him, ^*We haue heard out of the Law, that Christ abideth for euer: and how sayest thou, The Sonne of man must bee lift vp? Who is this Sonne of man?

⁴²Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

⁴³Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

⁴⁴And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

⁴²Iesus saith vnto them, ^*Did ye neuer reade in the Scriptures, The stone which the builders reiected, the same is become the head of the corner? This is the Lords doing, and it is marueilous in our eyes.

⁴³Therefore say I vnto you, the kingdome of God shall be taken from you, and giuen to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

⁴⁴And ^*whosoeuer shall fall on this stone, shalbe broken: but on whom soeuer it shall fall, it will grinde him to powder.

³⁰What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

³¹But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

³²Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

³⁰What shall wee say then? That the Gentiles which followed not after righteousnesse, haue attained to righteousnesse, euen the righteousnesse which is of faith:

³¹But Israel which followed after the Law of righteousnesse, hath not attained to the Law of righteousnes.

³²Wherefore? because they sought it, not by faith, but as it were by the works of the Law: for they stumbled at that stumbling stone,

¹⁵¶ And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son’s name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.

¹⁵¶ And Hagar bare Abram a sonne: and Abram called his sonnes name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.

¹⁰Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

¹⁰Wherfore she said vnto Abraham, ^*Cast out this bond woman, and her sonne: for the sonne of this bond woman shall not be heire with my sonne, euen with Isaac.

²And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

³And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

⁴¶ And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.

²And Sarai said vnto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee go in vnto my maid: it may bee that I may ^†obtaine children by her: and Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

³And Sarai Abrams wife, tooke Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten yeeres in the land of Canaan, and gaue her to her husband Abram, to be his wife.

⁴¶ And he went in vnto Hagar, and she conceiued: And when shee saw that shee had conceiued, her mistresse was despised in her eyes.

¹AND the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

²For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

¹¶ And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did vnto Sarah ^*as he had spoken.

²For Sarah ^*conceiued, and bare Abraham a sonne in his old age, at the set time, of which God had spoken to him.
