John 12:13–15

²⁵Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

²⁶Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

²⁵Saue now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperitie.

^26†Blessed be he that commeth in the Name of the LORD: wee haue blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

³And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

^3*And they sing the song of Moses the seruant of God, and the song of the Lambe, saying, Great and marueilous are thy workes, Lord God Almightie, ^*iust and true are thy wayes, thou king of saints.

³⁵And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

³⁶And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

³⁷And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

³⁸Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

³⁵And they brought him to Iesus: and they cast their garments vpon the Colt, and they set Iesus thereon.

³⁶And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

³⁷And when he was come nigh euen now at the descent of the mount of Oliues, the whole multitude of the disciples began to reioyce and praise God with a loud voice, for all the mighty workes that they had seene,

³⁸Saying, Blessed bee the King that commeth in the Name of the Lord, peace in heauen, and glory in the Highest.

⁹And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

¹⁰And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

¹¹And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

⁹And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the sonne of Dauid: Blessed is he that commeth in the Name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.

^10*And when hee was come into Hierusalem, all the citie was mooued, saying, Who is this?

¹¹And the multitude said, This is Iesus the Prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

⁸And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.

⁹And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:

¹⁰Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.

⁸And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut downe branches of the trees, and strawed them in the way.

⁹And they that went before, and they that followed, cryed, saying, Hosanna, blessed is hee that commeth in the Name of the Lord.

¹⁰Blessed be the kingdome of our father Dauid, that commeth in the Name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.

⁹After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

⁵Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.

^5**Afterward shall the children of Israel returne, and seeke the LORD their God, and Dauid their King, and shall feare the LORD, and his goodnesse in the latter dayes.

⁴⁹Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

⁴⁹Nathaneel answered, and saith vnto him, Rabbi, thou art the Sonne of God, thou art the king of Israel.

³⁹For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

³⁹For I say vnto you, yee shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that commeth in the Name of the Lord.

¹⁷His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

¹⁸Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

¹⁹And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

^17††His name shall endure for euer: his name shalbe continued as long as the sunne: and men shalbe blessed in him; all nations shall call him blessed.

¹⁸Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doth wonderous things.

¹⁹And blessed be his glorious name for euer, and let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.

¹⁵But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Cæsar.

¹⁵The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.

¹⁵The LORD hath taken away thy iudgements, he hath cast out thine enemy: the King of Israel, euen the LORD is in the middest of thee: thou shalt not see euill any more.

¹⁹¶ And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

²⁰This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

²¹Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

²²Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

¹⁹¶ And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the crosse. And the writing was, IESVS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE IEWES.

²⁰This title then read many of the Iewes: for the place where Iesus was crucified, was nigh to the citie, and it was written in Hebrewe, and Greeke, and Latine.

²¹Then said the chiefe Priests of the Iewes to Pilate, Write not, The king of the Iewes: but that he said, I am King of the Iewes.

²²Pilate answered, What I haue written, I haue written.

⁴⁰And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.

⁴⁰And ye shall take you on the first day the ^†boughes of goodly trees, branches of Palme trees, and the boughes of thicke trees, and willowes of the brooke, and yee shall reioyce before the LORD your God seuen dayes.

¹⁶And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

⁶Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

¹⁵Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.

^15*Feare not, daughter of Sion, behold, thy King commeth, sitting on an asses colt.

⁹¶ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

⁹¶ ^*‖Reioyce greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout O daughter of Ierusalem: beholde, thy King commeth vnto thee: hee is iust, and hauing saluation, lowly, and riding vpon an asse, and vpon a colt, the foale of an asse.

¹AND when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,

²And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.

³And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.

⁴And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.

⁵And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?

⁶And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

⁷And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

¹¶ ^*And when they came nigh to Hierusalem, vnto Bethphage, and Bethanie, at the mount of Oliues, hee sendeth foorth two of his disciples,

²And saith vnto them, Goe your way into the village ouer against you, and assoone as ye bee entred into it, yee shall finde a colt tied, whereon neuer man sate, loose him, and bring him.

³And if any man say vnto you, Why doe yee this? Say yee, that the Lord hath need of him: and straightway he will send him hither.

⁴And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the doore without, in a place where two wayes met: and they loose him.

⁵And certaine of them that stood there, said vnto them, What doe ye loosing the colt?

⁶And they said vnto them euen as Iesus had commanded: and they let them goe.

⁷And they brought the colt to Iesus, and cast their garments on him, and he sate vpon him.

¹AND when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,

²Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

³And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.

⁴All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,

⁶And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,

⁷And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.

¹¶ ^*And when they drewe nigh vnto Hierusalem, and were come to Bethphage, vnto the mount of Oliues, then sent Iesus two Disciples,

²Saying vnto them, Goe into the village ouer against you, and straightway yee shall find an Asse tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them vnto me.

³And if any man say ought vnto you, yee shall say, The Lord hath need of them, and straightway hee will send them.

⁴All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Prophet, saying,

¹¹Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

^11**‖Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed vnto the end of the world, say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy saluation commeth; behold, his reward is with him, and his worke before him.

¹⁶In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.

¹⁷The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

¹⁶In that day it shall be said to Ierusalem, Feare thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be ^‖slacke.

¹⁷The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mightie: hee will saue, he will reioyce ouer thee with ioy: ^†hee will rest in his loue, hee will ioy ouer thee with singing.

⁴Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

⁵Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

^4†Say to them that are of a fearefull heart; Be strong, feare not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, euen God with a recompence, he will come and saue you.

^5**Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the eares of the deafe shalbe vnstopped.

²And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king’s household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.

²And the King saide vnto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba saide, The asses bee for the kings houshold to ride on, and the bread and summer fruit for the yong men to eate, and the wine, that such as be faint in the wildernesse, may drinke.

¹⁶But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the Lord hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.

¹⁶But he shall not multiply horses to himselfe, nor cause the people to returne to Egypt, to the ende that hee should multiply horses: for as much as the LORD hath said vnto you, Yee shall hencefoorth returne no more that way.

⁹¶ O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

¹⁰Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

⁹¶ ^‖‖O Zion, that bringest good tydings, get thee vp into the high mountaine: O Ierusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift vp thy voyce with strength, lift it vp, be not afraid: say vnto the cities of Iudah; Behold your God.

^10‖*‖Behold, the LORD God will come with strong hand, and his arme shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his worke before him.

¹⁴Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

^14‖Feare not, thou worme Iacob, and ye men of Israel: I will helpe thee, saith the LORD, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

⁹For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me.

¹⁰¶ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord.

¹¹And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

⁹For behold, I will shake mine hand vpon them, and they shall bee a spoile to their seruants: and yee shall know that the LORD of hostes hath sent me.

¹⁰¶ ^**Sing and reioyce, O daughter of Zion: for loe, I come, and I will dwell in the middest of thee, sayth the LORD.

¹¹And many nations shalbe ioyned to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwel in the middest of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hostes hath sent me vnto thee.

³³The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:

¹⁴And he had forty sons and thirty nephews, that rode on threescore and ten ass colts: and he judged Israel eight years.

¹⁴And he had fourty sonnes, and thirtie ^†nephewes, that rode on threescore and ten asse-colts: and he iudged Israel eight yeeres,

¹⁰Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and walk by the way.

^10‖Speake yee that ride on white asses, yee that sit in Iudgement, and walke by the way.

⁸¶ And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.

⁸¶ And thou, O towre of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, vnto thee shall it come, euen the first dominion, the kingdome shall come to the daughter of Ierusalem.

²Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

³When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

⁴And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

⁵And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judæa: for thus it is written by the prophet,

⁶And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

²Saying, Where is he that is borne King of the Iewes? for we haue seene his Starre in the East, and are come to worship him.

³When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Hierusalem with him.

⁴And when he had gathered all the chiefe Priests and Scribes of the people together, hee demanded of them where Christ should be borne.

⁵And they said vnto him, In Bethlehem of Iudea: For thus it is written by the Prophet;

^6*And thou Bethlehem in the land of Iuda, art not the least among the Princes of Iuda: for out of thee shall come a Gouernour, that shall ^‖rule my people Israel.

¹AND it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.

¹¶ And it came to passe after this, that Absalom prepared him charets and horses, and fiftie men to runne before him.
