Luke 18:28–30

²⁸¶ Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

⁷But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

²⁷¶ Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

¹¹And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

²⁰And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

²¹And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

²²And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

¹⁹And he saith vnto them, Follow mee: and I will make you fishers of men.

²¹And going on from thence, hee sawe other two brethren, Iames the sonne of Zebedee, and Iohn his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets: and he called them.

²²And they immediatly left the shippe and their father, and followed him.

⁹¶ And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

²⁹And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,

³⁰But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

³¹But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

²⁹And Iesus answered, and said, Uerily I say vnto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the Gospels,

³⁰But hee shall receiue an hundred fold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternall life:

^31*But many that are first, shall be last: and the last, first.

²⁶If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

²⁷And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

²⁸For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

^26*If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea and his owne life also, hee cannot be my disciple.

²⁷And whosoeuer doeth not beare his crosse, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

²⁸For which of you intending to build a towre, sitteth not downe first, and counteth the cost, whether he haue sufficient to finish it?

³⁷He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

³⁸And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

³⁹He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

^37*He that loueth father or mother more then me, is not worthy of me: and he that loueth sonne or daughter more then me, is not worthy of me.

^38*And he that taketh not his crosse, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

^39*He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake, shall find it.

²⁸And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²⁹And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

³⁰But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

⁹Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.

⁹Who said vnto his father & to his mother, I haue not seene him, neither did hee acknowledge his brethren; nor knew his owne children: for they haue obserued thy word, and kept thy Couenant.

⁵Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

⁶So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

⁵ Let your conuersation bee without couetousnesse: and be content with such things as yee haue. For hee hath said, ^*I will neuer leaue thee, nor forsake thee.

⁶So that wee may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not feare what man shall doe vnto me.

¹⁰And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

¹⁰And the LORD turned the captiuitie of Iob, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD ^†gaue Iob twice as much as he had before.

¹⁷He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

¹⁷Hee that hath an eare, let him heare what the Spirit saith vnto the Churches. To him that ouercommeth will I giue to eate of the hidden Manna, and will giue him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth, sauing hee that receiueth it.

³¹¶ But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

³²Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

³¹¶ But rather seeke yee the kingdome of God, and all these things shall be added vnto you.

³²Feare not, litle flocke, for it is your fathers good pleasure to giue you the kingdome.

³²And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

³²And whosoeuer speaketh a word against the sonne of man, it shall be forgiuen him: but whosoeuer speaketh against the holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiuen him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

⁸For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

⁸For bodily exercise profiteth ^‖litle, but godlinesse is profitable vnto all things, hauing promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

⁶But godliness with contentment is great gain.

⁶But godlinesse with contentment is great gaine.

¹⁰³How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

^103*†How sweet are thy words vnto my taste! yea, sweeter then hony to my mouth.

¹¹¹Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

¹¹¹Thy Testimonies haue I taken as an heritage for euer: for they are the reioycing of my heart.

¹²⁷Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

^127*Therefore I loue thy Commandements: aboue gold, yea aboue fine gold.

¹⁶²I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

⁷²The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

¹⁶A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

⁴Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

⁵My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

¹⁰For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

¹¹For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

¹²O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

^10†For a day in thy courts, is better then a thousand: I had rather be a doore keeper in the house of my God, then to dwell in the tents of wickednesse.

^11*For the LORD God is a sunne and shield: the LORD will giue grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walke vprightly.

¹²O LORD of hostes: blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

²¹What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

²²But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

²³For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²²But now being made free from sinne, and become seruants to God, yee haue your fruit vnto holinesse, and the end euerlasting life.

²³For the wages of sinne is death: but the gift of God is eternall life, through Iesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁰Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

²¹To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

²¹To him that ouercommeth, will I graunt to sit with mee in my throne, euen as I also ouercame, and am set downe with my Father in his throne.
