Mark 15:33–36

⁴⁵Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

⁴⁵Now from the sixth houre there was darkenesse ouer all the land vnto the ninth houre.

⁹And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

¹⁰And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

⁹And it shall come to passe in that day, saith the LORD God, that I will cause the Sunne to go downe at noone, and I will darken the earth in the cleare day.

¹⁰And I will turne your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation, and I will bring vp sackcloth vpon all loynes, and baldnesse vpon euery head: and I will make it as the mourning of an onely sonne, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

⁴⁴And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

⁴⁵And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

⁴⁴And it was about the sixt houre, and there was a darkenesse ouer all the ^‖earth, vntill the ninth houre.

⁴⁵And the Sunne was darkened, and the vaile of the temple was rent in the mids.

²⁵And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

³I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.

⁴The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

¹MY God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

⁴⁶And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

⁴⁶And about the ninth houre, Iesus cried with a loud voyce, saying, Eli, Eli, Lamasabachthani, that is to say, ^*My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken mee?

⁷Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

⁹Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

⁹Hide not thy face farre frō me, put not thy seruant away in anger: thou hast bin my helpe, leaue me not, neither forsake me, O God of my saluation.

¹⁷When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

¹¹Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

²¹Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

⁹I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

³He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

⁴⁶¶ And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

²⁰Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?

⁴⁴And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

¹²¶ Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

⁴⁷Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

⁴⁸And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

⁴⁹The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

⁴⁹The rest said, Let bee, let vs see whether Elias will come to saue him.

¹¹¶ And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

¹²And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

¹³But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

¹¹¶ And they asked him, saying, Why say the Scribes that Elias must first come?

¹²And he answered, and told them, Elias verely commeth first, and restoreth al things, and ^*how it is written of the Sonne of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

¹³But I say vnto you, that Elias is indeed come, and they haue done vnto him whatsoeuer they listed, as it is written of him.

¹³Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

¹¹And Iesus answered, and said vnto them, Elias truely shall first come, and restore all things:

¹²But I say vnto you, that Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but haue done vnto him whatsoeuer they listed: Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

¹³Then the Disciples vnderstood that he spake vnto them of Iohn the Baptist.

²¹They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

²³And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

²⁸¶ After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

²⁹Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

³⁰When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
