Psalms 119:137–143

¹⁵O Lord God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.

⁷O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

¹⁷The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

¹⁴Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

⁶The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

¹⁴⁴The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

⁷The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

⁸The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

⁹The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

⁸The Statutes of the LORD are right, reioycing the heart: the Commandement of the LORD is pure, inlightning the eyes.

⁴How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

⁵Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

³But he said vnto them, Haue yee not read ^*what Dauid did when hee was an hungred, and they that were with him,

⁴How he entred into the house of God, and did eate the shew bread, which was not lawfull for him to eate, neither for them which were with him, ^*but, only for the Priests?

⁵Or haue yee not read in the ^*law, how that on the Sabbath dayes the Priests in the Temple profane the Sabbath, and are blamelesse?

⁴For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.

⁵But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;

⁶And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

⁴²Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

¹³But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

⁶Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

⁸In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁹Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

¹⁰When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

⁶Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompence tribulation to them that trouble you:

⁷And to you who are troubled, rest with vs, when the Lord Iesus shalbe reuealed from heauen, ^†with his mightie Angels,

⁸In flaming fire, ^‖taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lorde Iesus Christ,

⁹Who shalbe punished with euerlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power:

¹⁰When hee shall come to bee glorified in his Saints, and to bee admired in all them that beleeue (because our testimony among you was beleeued) in that day.

²⁴Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
