Psalms 119:5–8

¹⁰Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

⁵And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

²¹Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

³³But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

³⁶Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

²²For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

²And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

³And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

¹⁰For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

¹²⁸Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

¹⁴But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

¹⁵For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

¹⁶O Lord our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.

¹⁷I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

¹³Now therefore, our God, wee thanke thee, and praise thy glorious Name.

¹⁴But who am I, and what is my people, that we should ^†be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of ^†thine owne haue we giuen thee.

¹⁵For we are strangers before thee, and soiourners, as were all our fathers: ^*Our dayes on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none ^†abiding.

¹⁶O LORD our God, all this store that we haue prepared to build thee an house for thine holy Name, commeth of thine hand, and is all thine owne.

¹⁷I know also, my God, that thou ^*triest the heart, and hast pleasure in vprightnesse. As for me, in the vprightnes of mine heart I haue willingly offered all these things: and now haue I seene with ioy, thy people which are ^†present here, to offer willingly vnto thee.

¹⁷Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

⁸Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

⁹The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

¹⁰All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

¹I WILL praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

³³Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

³⁴Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

³⁴Giue me vnderstanding, and I shall keepe thy Law: yea I shall obserue it with my whole heart.

²⁷Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

⁷³Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

⁶⁴The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.

¹⁰Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

¹³For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

¹²⁴Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

¹⁸Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

¹⁹I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

¹⁷⁶I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

¹⁸Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

¹⁵And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

¹⁰⁶I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

¹¹⁵Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

¹¹⁶Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

¹¹⁷Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.
