⁵⁰This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

¹⁰¶ Feare thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismaied, for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee, yea I will helpe thee, yea I will vphold thee with the right hand of my righteousnesse.

²¹But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.

²And I wil come vpon him while hee is wearie and weake handed, and wil make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee, and I will smite the king onely.

³And I wil bring backe all the people vnto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.

⁴And the saying ^†pleased Absalom well, and all the Elders of Israel.

¹¹¹Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
