Psalms 18:34–35

¹BLESSED be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

¹¶ Blessed be the LORD my ^††strength, which teacheth my hands to warre, and my fingers to fight.

⁹He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

⁹He maketh warres to cease vnto the end of the earth: hee breaketh the bow, and cutteth the speare in sunder, he burneth the chariot in the fire.

³⁶Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.

³⁶Thou hast also giuen mee the shield of thy saluation: and thy gentlenesse ^†hath made me great.

⁶And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.

⁶And for a spirit of iudgement to him that sitteth in iudgement, and for strength to them that turne the battell to the gate.

¹THUS saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

¹¶ ^‖Thus saith the LORD to his Anointed, to Cyrus whose right hande I haue holden, to subdue nations before him: and I will loose the loines of kings to open before him the two leaued gates, and the gates shall not be shut.

³⁵Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.

⁵And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.

³⁶Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.

³⁶Thou hast also giuen mee the shield of thy saluation: and thy gentlenesse ^†hath made me great.

¹⁷But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

¹⁸And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

¹⁷But the wisedome that is from aboue, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easie to be intreated, full of mercy, and good fruits, ^‖without partialitie, and without hypocrisie.

¹⁸And the fruit of righteousnesse is sowen in peace, of them that make peace.

⁷The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

²²But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

¹NOW I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

²⁹Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

¹¹He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

⁷Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.

^7‖Shewe thy marueilous louing kindnesse, O thou that sauest by thy right hand, them which put their trust in thee, frō those that rise vp against them.

³Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

⁴And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

³Gird thy sword vpon thy thigh, O most mightie: with thy glory and thy maiestie.

^4†And in thy maiestie ride prosperously, because of trueth and meekenes, and righteousnesse: and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

³All thy rulers are fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in thee are bound together, which have fled from far.

¹²For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
