2 Corinthians 3:10–11

¹⁷For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

⁷And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

⁸The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.

⁹The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

⁷And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come, and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

⁸The siluer is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.

⁹The glory of this latter house shal be greater then of the former, saith the LORD of hostes: and in this place will I giue peace, saith the LORD of hostes.

¹³At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

³Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

²³Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

^23*‖Then the Moone shall be confounded, and the Sunne ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reigne in mount Zion and in Ierusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

⁵Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

⁵Behold euen to the moone, and it shineth not, yea the starres are not pure in his sight.

⁷But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

⁸Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

⁷But what things were gaine to me, those I counted losse for Christ.

⁸Yea doubtlesse, and I count all things but losse, for the excellencie of the knowledge of Christ Iesus my Lord: for whom I haue suffered the losse of all things, and doe count them but doung, that I may win Christ,

²³And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

²⁴And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

^23*And the citie had no need of the Sunne, neither of the Moone to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lambe is the light thereof.

^24*And the nations of them which are saued, shall walke in the light of it: and the kings of the earth doe bring their glory and honour into it.

⁵And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

^5*And there shalbe no night there, and they need no candle, neither light of the Sunne, for the Lord God giueth them light, and they shall reigne for euer and euer.

¹³In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

²⁰Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

²¹That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

²⁰Moreouer, the Lawe entred, that the offence might abound: but where sinne abounded, grace did much more abound.

²¹That as sinne hath reigned vnto death; euen so might grace reigne thorow righteousnes vnto eternall life, by Iesus Christ our Lord.

²¹(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

²²By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

²³And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

²⁴But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

²⁵Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

²¹(For those Priests were made ^‖without an oath: but this with an oath, by him y ^t said vnto him, ^*The Lord sware and wil not repent, thou art a Priest for euer after the order of Melchisedec)

²²By so much was Iesus made a suertie of a better Testament.

²³And they truely were many Priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death.

²⁴But this man because hee continueth euer, hath an ^‖vnchangeable Priesthood.

²⁵Wherefore he is able also to saue them ^‖to the vttermost, that come vnto God by him, seeing hee euer liueth to make intercession for them.

⁶Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

⁷But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

⁶Who also hath made vs able ministers of the New Testament, not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit ^‖giueth life.

⁷But if the ministration of death written, and ingrauen in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly beholde the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenance, which glorie was to be done away:

¹THEREFORE seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

¹¶ Therefore, seeing we haue this ministery, as we haue receiued mercie wee faint not:

²⁵See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

²⁶Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

²⁷And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

²⁸Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

²⁹For our God is a consuming fire.

²⁵See that yee refuse not him that speaketh: for if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape if wee turne away from him that speaketh from heauen.

²⁶Whose voice then shooke the earth, but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth onely, but also heauen.

²⁷And this word Yet once more, signifieth the remouing of those things that ^‖are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remaine.

²⁸Wherefore wee receiuing a kingdome which cannot bee moued, ^‖let vs haue grace, whereby wee may serue God acceptably, with reuerence and godly feare.

²⁹For our God is a consuming fire.
