Deuteronomy 32:1–6

²Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.

²Heare, O ^*heauens, and giue eare, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken; I haue nourished and brought vp children, and they haue rebelled against me.

²⁶I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

²⁶I call heauen and earth to witnesse against you this day, that ye shall soone vtterly perish from off the land whereunto you goe ouer Iordan, to possesse it: yee shall not prolong your dayes vpon it, but shall vtterly bee destroyed.

²⁹O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord.

¹HEAR this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:

¹¶ Heare this, all yee people, giue eare all yee inhabitants of the world:

¹⁹I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

²⁸¶ Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.

¹⁹Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

¹⁹Heare, O earth, behold, I will bring euill vpon this people, euen the fruit of their thoughts, because they haue not hearkened vnto my wordes, nor to my law, but reiected it.

⁴He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

⁴He shall call to the heauens from aboue, and to the earth, that hee may iudge his people.

¹²Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord.

¹⁰For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

¹¹So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

¹⁰For as the raine commeth down, and the snow from heauen, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring foorth and bud, that it may giue seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

¹¹So shall my word bee that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not returne vnto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

⁶He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

⁶Hee shall come downe like raine vpon the mowen grasse: as showres that water the earth.

⁷And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

⁷And the remnant of Iacob shall be in the midst of many people, as a dew from the LORD, as the showres vpon the grasse that tarieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sonnes of men.

²²After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.

²³And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.

⁵I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

⁶I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

⁷So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

⁸Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

⁶I haue planted, Apollo watered: but God gaue the encrease.

⁷So then, neither is he that planteth any thing, neither hee that watereth: but God that giueth the increase.

⁸Now hee that planteth, and hee that watereth, are one: ^*and euery man shal receiue his own reward according to his owne labour.

⁴And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

⁴And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the Sunne riseth, euen a morning, without cloudes; as the tender grasse springing out of the earth by cleare shining after raine:

⁷For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

⁷For the earth which drinketh in the raine that commeth oft vpon it, and bringeth forth herbes meet for them ^‖by whome it is dressed, receiueth blessing from God.

⁴¶ O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.

⁴¶ ^‖O Ephraim, what shall I doe vnto thee? O Iudah, what shall I do vnto thee? for your goodnesse is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.

¹ASK ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

¹¶ ^‖Aske yee of the LORD raine in the time of the latter raine, so the LORD shal make bright clouds, and giue them showres of raine, to euery one grasse in the field.

⁶Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O Lord; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.

^6*Forasmuch as there is none like vnto thee, O LORD, thou art great, and thy Name is great in might.

²Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

²Praise him for his mightie actes: Praise him according to his excellent greatnesse.

²⁴And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

²⁴And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed vs his glory, and his greatnesse, and ^*we haue heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: wee haue seene this day that God doth talke with man, and ^*he liueth.

¹⁹And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

¹⁹And what is the exceeding greatnesse of his power to vs-ward who beleeue, according to the working ^†of his mightie power:

¹¹Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

¹¹Thine, O LORD, is the greatnes, and the power, and the glory, & the victorie, and the maiestie: for all that is in the heauen & in the earth, is thine: thine is ^*the kingdome, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head aboue all.

²⁴O Lord God, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?

²⁴O LORD God, thou hast begun to shew thy seruant thy greatnesse, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heauen, or in earth, that can do according to thy workes, and according to thy might?

¹⁹And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

¹⁹And he said, I will make all my goodnesse passe before thee, and I will proclaime the name of the LORD before thee: ^*and will bee gracious to whom I wil be gracious, and wil shew mercie on whom I will shew mercie.

³And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

³And I appeared vnto Abraham, vnto Isaac, and vnto Iacob, by the Name of God Almighty, but by my name IEHOVAH was I not knowen to them.

⁶In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

^6*†In his dayes Iudah shalbe saued, and Israel shall dwell safely, and this is his Name whereby hee shall be called, The LORD Our Righteousnes.

²⁶And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

²⁶And I haue declared vnto them thy Name, and will declare it: that the loue wherewith thou hast loued mee, may be in them, and I in them.

⁶I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

⁶I haue manifested thy Name vnto the men which thou gauest me out of the world: thine they were; and thou gauest them me; and they haue kept thy word.

²³Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

^23*Behold, a Uirgin shall be with childe, and shall bring foorth a sonne, and ^‖they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted, is, God with vs.)

¹⁹O Lord, for thy servant’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.

¹⁹O LORD, for thy seruants sake, and according to thine owne heart, hast thou done all this greatnesse in making knowen all these ^†great things.

¹³And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

¹⁴And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

¹⁵And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

¹⁶Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:

¹³And Moses saide vnto God, Behold, when I come vnto the children of Israel, and shall say vnto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me vnto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say vnto them?

¹⁴And God saide vnto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: And he said, Thus shalt thou say vnto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me vnto you.

¹⁵And God said moreouer vnto Moses, Thus shalt thou say vnto the children of Israel; The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob hath sent me vnto you: this is my name for euer, and this is my memoriall vnto all generations.

¹⁶Goe and gather the Elders of Israel together, and say vnto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Iacob appeared vnto me, saying, I haue surely visited you, and seene that which is done to you in Egypt.

¹O GIVE thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

²Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

³Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

⁴Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

⁵Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

¹¶ ^*O giue thankes vnto the LORD, call vpon his name: make knowen his deeds among the people.

²Sing vnto him; sing Psalmes vnto him: talke yee of all his wondrous workes.

³Glory yee in his holy name: let the heart of them reioyce, that seeke the LORD.

⁴Seeke the LORD, and his strength: seeke his face euermore.

⁵Remember his maruellous workes, that hee hath done: his wonders, and the iudgements of his mouth,

¹GIVE unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

²Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

¹¶ Giue vnto the LORD (O ye mighty) giue vnto the LORD glory and strength.

^2†‖Giue vnto the LORD the glory due vnto his Name; worship the LORD in the beautie of holinesse.

¹⁶In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

¹⁷For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

¹⁸For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

¹⁶In thy name shall they reioyce all the day: and in thy righteousnes shall they be exalted.

¹⁷For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy fauour our horne shall be exalted.

^18‖For the LORD is our defence: and the holy One of Israel is our king.

²⁴¶ An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.

²⁴¶ An Altar of earth thou shalt make vnto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheepe, and thine oxen: In all places where I record my Name, I will come vnto thee, and I will blesse thee.

⁵And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.

⁶And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

⁷Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

⁵And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the Name of the LORD.

⁶And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, mercifull and gracious, long suffering, and abundant in goodnesse and trueth,

⁷Keeping mercie for thousands, forgiuing iniquitie and transgression and sinne, and that will by no meanes cleere the guiltie, ^*visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon the children, and vpon the childrens children, vnto the third and to the fourth generation.

¹I WILL extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

²Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

³Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

⁴One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

⁵I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

⁶And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.

⁷They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

⁸The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

⁹The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

¹⁰All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.

¹¶ I will extoll thee, my God, O King: and I will blesse thy name for euer and euer.

²Euery day wil I blesse thee: and I will praise thy Name for euer and euer.

^3†Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: and his greatnes is vnsearchable.

⁴One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shal declare thy mightie actes.

³¹For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God?

^31*For who is God saue the LORD? or who is a rocke saue our God?

¹⁵To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

¹⁵To shew that the LORD is vpright: hee is my rocke, and there is no vnrighteousnesse in him.

⁴Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

^4†Trust ye in the LORD for euer: for in the LORD Iehouah is euerlasting strength.

³¹As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

³²For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?

³¹ As for God, his way is perfect, the word of the LORD is ^‖tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

³²For who is God, saue the LORD? and who is a rocke, saue our God?

³⁷Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

³⁷Now I Nebuchad-nezzar praise, and extoll and honour the King of heauen, all whose workes are truth, and his waies iudgement, and those that walke in pride he is able to abase.

²The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

^2†The LORD is my rocke, and my fortresse, and my deliuerer: my God, my strength in whome I will trust, my buckler, and the horne of my saluation, and my high tower.

³And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

⁴Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

^3*And they sing the song of Moses the seruant of God, and the song of the Lambe, saying, Great and marueilous are thy workes, Lord God Almightie, ^*iust and true are thy wayes, thou king of saints.

^4*Who shall not feare thee, O Lord, and glorifie thy Name? for thou onely art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee, for thy iudgements are made manifest.

³⁰How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?

³¹For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

³⁰How should ^*one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rocke had sold them, and the LORD had shut them vp?

³¹For their rocke is not as our Rocke, euen our enemies themselues being iudges.

⁴⁸Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

⁴⁸Be yee therefore perfect, euen as your father, which is in heauen, is perfect.

⁵For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

⁵For the LORD is good, his mercy is euerlasting: and his trueth endureth ^†to all generations.

¹⁷Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

¹⁷Euery good gift, and euery perfect gift is from aboue, & commeth downe from the Father of lights, with whom is no variablenesse, neither shadow of turning.

⁴And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

⁴And did all drinke the same spirituall drinke: (for they dranke of that spirituall Rocke that ^‖followed them: and that Rocke was Christ)

²And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

³The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

²And he said, ^*The LORD is my rocke and my fortresse, and my deliuerer:

³The God of my rocke, in him will I trust: hee is my shield, and the horne of my saluation, my high tower, and my refuge, my Sauiour; thou sauest me from violence.

²⁵That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

²⁵That be farre from thee, to do after this maner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be farre from thee: Shall not the Iudge of all the earth doe right?

²⁴But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

²⁴But let him that glorieth, glory in this, that hee vnderstandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise louing kindnesse, iudgement and righteousnesse in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

¹O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

¹¶ O LORD, thou art my God, I will exalt thee, I will praise thy Name; for thou hast done wonderfull things; thy counsels of old are faithfulnesse and trueth.

¹⁴And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

^14*And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among vs (& we beheld his glory, the glory as of the onely begotten of the Father) full of grace and trueth.

⁶Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

⁶Iesus saith vnto him, I am the Way, the Trueth, and the Life: no man commeth vnto the Father but by mee.

²But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

²But wee are sure that the iudgement of God is according to trueth, against them which commit such things.

⁵But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

⁵But if our vnrighteousnesse commend the righteousnesse of God, what shall we say? is God vnrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speake as a man)

⁶Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

⁶Wherefore it is conteined in the Scripture, ^*Beholde, I lay in Sion a chiefe corner stone, elect, precious, and he that beleeueth on him, shall not be confounded.

¹⁵¶ But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

¹⁵¶ But Iesurun waxed fat, and kicked: Thou art waxen fat, thou art growen thicke, thou art couered with fatnes: then he forsooke God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rocke of his saluation.

¹⁸Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

¹⁸Of the Rocke that begate thee thou art vnmindfull, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

¹³Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

¹³ Thou art of purer eyes then to beholde euill, and canst not looke on ^‖ininquitie: wherefore lookest thou vpon them that deale treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked deuoureth the man that is more righteous then hee?

¹⁶¶ Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

¹⁶¶ ^*Therefore thus saith the LORD God, Beholde, I lay in Zion for a foundation, a stone, a tryed stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: hee that beleeueth, shall not make haste.

¹⁰Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

¹⁰Therefore hearken vnto me, ye ^†men of vnderstanding: ^*farre bee it from God, that he should doe wickednes, and from the Almighty, that hee should commit iniquitie.

²²For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

²²For the Father iudgeth no man: but hath committed all iudgement vnto the Sonne:

²Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

²There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

² There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any Rocke like our God.

⁴⁷The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

⁴⁷The LORD liueth, and blessed be my rocke: and exalted be the God of the rocke of my saluation.

³The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

³The God of Israel said, the Rocke of Israel spake to me: ^‖he that ruleth ouer men must be iust, ruling in the feare of God:

¹⁴I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

¹⁴I know that whatsoeuer God doeth, it shalbe for euer: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doth it, that men should feare before him.
