Job 15:14–16

²⁰For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

^20*For there is not a iust man vpon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

⁴Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

^4†Who ^*can bring a cleane thing out of an vncleane? not one.

⁹Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

^9*Who can say, I haue made my heart cleane, I am pure from my sinne?

¹⁸For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

⁴How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

⁵Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

⁶How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

^4*How then can man bee iustified with God? or how can he be cleane that is borne of a woman?

⁵Behold euen to the moone, and it shineth not, yea the starres are not pure in his sight.

⁶How much lesse man, that is a worme: and the sonne of man which is a ^*worme?

⁸If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

⁹If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹⁰If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

⁸If we say that we haue no sinne, we deceiue our selues, and the trueth is not in vs.

⁹If we confesse our sinnes, hee is faithfull, & iust to forgiue vs our sinnes, and to cleanse vs from all vnrighteousnesse.

¹⁰If we say that we haue not sinned, wee make him a liar, and his word is not in vs.

⁴⁶If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

⁴⁶If they sinne against thee, ( ^*for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliuer them to the enemy, so that they cary them away captiues, vnto the land of the enemy, farre or neere;

³They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

²Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

³Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

²²But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

²I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?

⁶That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

⁶That which is borne of the flesh, is flesh, and that which is borne of the spirit, is spirit.

⁵Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

^5†Behold, I was shapen in iniquitie: and in sinne did my mother conceiue me.

⁵Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

¹⁸Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:

²Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

³And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

⁴And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

⁵¶ Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

²Aboue it stood the Seraphims: each one had sixe wings, with twaine he couered his face, and with twaine hee couered his feete, and with twaine hee did flie.

^3†*†And one cryed vnto another, and sayd; Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hostes, the whole earth is full of his glory.

^4†And the posts of the doore moued at the voyce of him that cryed, and the house was filled with smoke.

⁵¶ ^†Then sayd I; woe is me; for I am vndone, because I am a man of vncleane lippes, and I dwell in the midst of a people of vncleane lippes: for mine eyes haue seene the king, the LORD of hostes.

¹CALL now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?

¹¶ Call now, if there be any that wil answere thee, and to which of the Saints wilt thou ^‖turne?

⁷What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

⁷What man is like Iob, who drinketh vp scorning like water?

²⁸An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity.

^28†An vngodly witnesse scorneth iudgement: and the mouth of the wicked deuoureth iniquitie.

³Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

³Euery one of them is gone backe, they are altogether become filthy: there is none that doth good, no not one.

⁹What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

¹⁰As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

¹¹There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

¹²They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

¹³Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

¹⁴Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

¹⁵Their feet are swift to shed blood:

¹⁶Destruction and misery are in their ways:

¹⁷And the way of peace have they not known:

¹⁸There is no fear of God before their eyes.

¹⁹Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

⁹What then? are wee better then they? No in no wise: for we haue before ^†proued both Iewes, and Gentiles, that they are all vnder sinne,

¹⁰As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one:

¹¹There is none that vnderstandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

¹²They are all gone out of the way, they are together become vnprofitable, there is none that doeth good, no not one.

¹³Their throat is an open sepulchre, with their tongues they haue vsed deceit, the poyson of Aspes is vnder their lippes:

¹⁴Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitternesse:

¹⁵Their feet are swift to shed blood.

¹⁶Destruction & misery are in their wayes:

¹⁷And the way of peace haue they not knowen.

¹⁸There is no feare of God before their eyes.

¹⁹Now we know that what things soeuer the Law saith, it saith to them who are vnder the Law: that euery mouth may bee stopped, and all the world may become ^‖guilty before God.

³For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

³For we our selues also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceiued, seruing diuers lusts and pleasures, liuing in malice and enuy, hatefull, and hating one another.

¹²Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;

¹²Though wickednes be sweet in his mouth, though hee hide it vnder his tongue;

¹⁹How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?

¹⁹Howe much lesse on them that dwell in ^*houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth.

⁶Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

¹THE fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

²The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

³They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

¹¶ The foole hath sayd in his heart, There is no God: they are corrupt, they haue done abominable workes, there is none that doeth good.

^2*The LORD looked downe from heauen vpon the children of men; to see if there were any that did vnderstand and seeke God.

^3†They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no not one.

²⁸And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

²⁹Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

³⁰Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

²⁸And euen as they did not like to ^‖retaine God in their knowledge, God gaue them ouer to ^‖a reprobate minde, to doe those things which are not conuenient:

²⁹Being filled with all vnrighteousnes, fornication, wickednesse, couetousnes, maliciousnes, full of enuie, murther, debate, deceit, malignitie, whisperers,

³⁰Backbiters, haters of God, despitefull, proude, boasters, inuenters of euill things, disobedient to parents;
