Mark 4:20–21

¹⁰That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

¹⁵But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

⁴Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

⁵I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

⁸And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

²³But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

²²But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

⁸For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹²Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.

¹⁶Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

¹⁶Ye haue not chosen me, but I haue chosen you, and ^*ordeined you, that you should goe and bring foorth fruit, and that your fruite should remaine: that whatsoeuer ye shall aske of the Father in my Name, he may giue it you.

⁴Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

¹FURTHERMORE then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

¹¶ Furthermore then we ^‖beseech you, brethren, and ^‖exhort you by the Lord Iesus, that as yee haue receiued of vs, how ye ought to walke, and to please God, so yee would abound more and more.

¹¹Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

¹⁵Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

¹⁵Neither doe men ^†light a candle, and put it vnder a ^*bushell: but on a candlesticke, and it giueth light vnto all that are in the house.

³³No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

¹⁶¶ No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

¹⁶¶ ^*No man when he hath lighted a candle, couereth it with a vessell, or putteth it vnder a bed: but setteth it on a candlesticke, that they which enter in, may see the light.

¹ARISE, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

²For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

³And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

¹¶ ^‖Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen vpon thee.

²For behold, the darknesse shall couer the earth, and grosse darknesse the people: but the LORD shall arise vpon thee, and his glory shall be seene vpon thee.

^3*And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightnesse of thy rising.

³But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

⁴Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

⁵For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

⁶Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

⁷Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

⁸For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

⁹(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

¹⁰Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

¹¹And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

¹²For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

¹³But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

¹⁴Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

¹⁵See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

³But fornication and all vncleannesse, or couetousnesse, let it not be once named amongst you, as becommeth Saints:

⁴Neither filthinesse, nor foolish talking, nor iesting, which are not conuenient: but rather giuing of thankes.

⁵For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor vncleane person, nor couetous man who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdome of Christ, and of God.

⁶Let no man deceiue you with vaine words: for because of these things commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of ^‖disobedience.

⁷Bee not yee therefore partakers with them.

⁸For yee were sometimes darkenesse, but now are yee light in the Lord: walke as children of light,

⁹(For the fruite of the spirit is in all goodnesse and righteousnesse & trueth.)

¹⁰Proouing what is acceptable vnto the Lord:

¹¹And haue no fellowship with the vnfruitfull workes of darkenesse, but rather reproue them.

¹²For it is a shame euen to speake of those things which are done of them in secret.

¹³But all things that are ^‖reprooued, are made manifest by the light: for whatsoeuer doth make manifest, is light.

¹⁴Wherfore hee saith: ^*Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall giue thee light.

^15*See then that yee walke circumspectly, not as fooles, but as wise,

⁷But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

⁷But the manifestation of the spirit, is giuen to euery man to profit withall.

¹⁵That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

¹⁶Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

¹⁵That yee may bee blamelesse and ^‖harmelesse, the sonnes of God, without rebuke, in the middes of a crooked and peruerse nation, among whom ^‖ye shine as lights in the world:

¹⁶Holding foorth the word of life, that I may reioyce in the day of Christ, that I haue not runne in vaine, neither laboured in vaine.
