Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dogs head, which against Iudah doe shew kindnesse this day vnto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and haue not deliuered thee into the hand of Dauid, that thou chargest mee to day with a fault concerning this woman?

And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken, concerning thy seruant, and concerning his house, establish it for euer, and doe as thou hast said.

¶ Then Ioab sent, and tolde Dauid all the things concerning the warre:

And the soule of king Dauid longed to goe foorth vnto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
